What’s up everyone?
It’s been a while since I’ve made a post about anything, and that’s mostly because I haven’t had the time to keep up, but, I’m hoping that has changed now.
I started a new job the week before Halloween, which means that I’m no longer working for my mom and the bakery, I’m still going in for about na hour every morning, but it’s not as bad as being there every day for 12-14 hours. I didn’t trade the stress though, just went with something a bit more fun, which makes the stress worth it.
I am a paraprofessional now at a middle school, and it’s interesting, but not anything new. I’ve worked at a summer camp for all ranges of kids with special needs for the last 8 years, and my main job was to be the parapro for whatever group I was put with. For camp that means feeding, toileting, making sure they get from one place to another, and generally supporting kids in whatever way they need. For school, it’s not much different, there’s more of a structure, there’s a bigger line between the time to work and time to play, and the kids mostly get it. I have had a lot of fun over these last few weeks, and I can’t wait to share some of it with you all.
If you have any questions about the job specifically, go ahead and ask, I hope to have a good structure to when I post so that I can hopefully keep up.
Thanks!
Seb
